The Heads

The Heads is a contemporary art gallery tucked into Clitheroe's landscape, offering something genuinely different from the usual Lancashire seaside fare. The space itself is compact but well-curated, the kind of place where you can spend an hour really looking rather than just wandering through.

Families with older kids who can appreciate contemporary work won't find it tedious. Younger children, honestly, might lose interest quickly unless there's an interactive exhibition on.

Parkdean Resorts Todber Valley is barely two miles away, and Holgates Ribble Valley not much further, making The Heads an easy detour if you're based at either. It pairs well with a walk around Clitheroe itself - the castle's just down the road - or combining it with time at Pendle Hill if you're keen on both art and landscape. A bit of culture among the hiking and caravan life goes down rather well.
