Great Langdale Campsite

Stunning campsite in a great location. Lots of walks right from the campsite which is ace. We stayed in our van and the van pitches were really spacious and you had a lot of privacy. There's two sets of toilets so you're never too far away, no matter where you camp. The showers were lovely, spacious and a separate bit for your clothes and towel so they don't get soaked! Visited the campsite in early October 2025 for 2 nights. Staff were lovely and helpful upon arrival and we got straight to pitching our tent. The onsite facilities were good, the showers were clean and well maintained and we appreciated the dryers and the drying room that was available as our stuff got a bit damp overnight so we were able to pop it in the drying room during the day and it was nice...

We’ve stayed a couple of times over the past few years. Facilities are excellent and the staff are first class. Really good at recommending walks and sorting out stuff. facilities are clean plenty of hot water and warm couple of pubs within walking distance one just five minutes up the road which is probably the best of the three options and the only one with decent Wi-Fi. We will be back.

Love this campsite, might even go as far as saying our favourite! Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, facilities are spotless and the views are incredible. We were very lucky to stay when there was snow, which we had never experienced before at Langdale. Created a whole new experience.

Such a lovely campsite! I visited just before Christmas and it was wonderfully peaceful. There are fantastic views from everywhere on the site. Really nice pitches, decently stocked little shop and facilities but the best thing about it is the staff. Such friendly people who genuinely care! I’m more of a wild camper but some campsites are worth staying at and this is one of them.
