Snipes How

The walk up Snipes How from Keswick is a proper little gem - nothing fancy, just a straightforward fell that rewards you with views across the lakes without requiring full mountaineer credentials. It's barely 455 metres, which makes it accessible for families with decent legs and anyone wanting to feel like they've climbed something without spending half the day on it.

The route itself is pleasant rather than dramatic. You'll get glimpses of Derwentwater and the wider Lake District spread below you, though the summit isn't what you'd call expansive - it's more about the sense of achievement than the destination.
