Banc yr Esgair

The walk up Banc yr Esgair takes you through proper Welsh hill country, the kind where the wind picks up fast and the views just keep expanding as you climb. Absolutely worth combining with a stay near Aberystwyth. The town's only a short drive away, which makes this a logical add-on to a caravan or camping holiday in the area. Woodlands Caravan Park and Brynllwyd Glamping are both within striking distance, as is tyn ffordd fach campsite - all excellent bases if you're planning a few days exploring the Ceredigion hills. The weather can turn quickly, so check conditions before you head out, but on a clear day this is proper cracking countryside.
