About Y Das, Tomen
It's a walker's attraction really, not a sit-down-and-read-plaques sort of place. The site itself is open access - no visitor centre, no gift shop, just you and the earthworks. You can be up and down in thirty to forty minutes, though it's worth lingering if the weather's decent. The walk up is reasonably straightforward, though it gets a bit steep depending which side you approach from. Families with older kids will manage fine; younger ones might find the lack of facilities a bit limiting.
If you're camped at Bryndu or Olchon Valley, you're only five miles away, making it an easy morning or afternoon sortie alongside exploring the wider Mid Wales countryside. Hay-on-Wye's barely further, so you could easily combine this with the town's bookshop culture. Best visited in clearer weather when the views across to the Black Mountains actually reward the climb.
