St Beuno's sits on a quiet lane outside Pwllheli, a church so old it makes most of Wales feel young. The current building dates to the 15th century, though the saint himself - Beuno - was active here in the 7th century, which tells you something about how long this spot has mattered to people in Gwynedd.

What you're really here for is the sense of time. Walk through the graveyard and you'll find yourself reading inscriptions that go back centuries - proper contemplative stuff if that's your thing.
