Rhiwlas is a modest hill that rises above the small coastal village of Borth, offering straightforward fell-walking without the crowds or the scrambling. You could easily pair a Rhiwlas walk with time at one of the nearby caravan parks like Aber Bay Holiday Park or Cambrian Coast Holiday Park, which sit within a few miles.

Allow a couple of hours if you want to take your time and enjoy the top without rushing. There's no admission fee or facilities to speak of - it's a hill, not a visitor centre. Summer is your best bet for the clearest views, though the wind can be bracing up there year-round. It's not dramatic or Instagram-famous, but that's exactly why it works. You'll likely have it pretty much to yourself.
