Water crashes down a rocky face in the heart of Llanberis, creating one of those spots that makes you pause mid-stride. Rhaeadr Llanberis sits right in the village, making it dead easy to find - just follow the sound of falling water.

The waterfall isn't massive, but it's proper dramatic when the water's running well after rain. Best viewing is from the road bridge, though you can scramble down closer if you're feeling adventurous. Takes all of ten minutes to see, but it's lovely for a quick photo stop.

Families staying at nearby Snowdon View Holiday Park or Bryn Gloch will find it's an easy leg-stretcher between bigger adventures. The kids can spot the water from quite a distance, which builds the excitement. Walkers heading up Snowdon often pass right by - it's a nice warm-up for the legs.

Coming from Caernarfon, you'll drive straight through Llanberis village to reach it. Free to view, obviously, and accessible any time of day. Spring and autumn are best when the water flow is strongest.

Honestly, it won't occupy you for long, but combined with Llanberis Lake and the railway station nearby, it rounds out a pleasant hour in the village. Worth the detour if you're already in the area rather than a destination in itself.
