Moel Goedog Hut Circle

Stone foundations poking through rough moorland grass mark where Bronze Age families once called home. This circular hut settlement sits on the slopes above Harlech, overlooking Cardigan Bay with Snowdonia rising behind - quite the spot our ancestors chose for their homestead.

What you'll find are the remains of several roundhouses, their stone walls still clearly visible after 3,000-odd years. The main circle measures about eight metres across, large enough for an extended family. Walking between the ruins, it's easy to picture the timber roofs that once completed these homes, smoke drifting from central hearths.
