Llethr Brith

The walk up to Llethr Brith rewards you with one of those views that makes the climb feel entirely worthwhile. It's a proper vantage point above Aberystwyth, with the coast spreading out below you and Cardigan Bay stretching to the horizon. On a clear day you can see for miles - the kind of visibility that makes you understand why someone bothered to establish this viewpoint in the first place.

This isn't a tourist attraction with facilities or a visitor centre. It's just you, the path, and the panorama. Walkers love it, especially those staying at the nearby caravan parks like Woodlands or Brynllwyd Glamping who fancy a proper leg-stretcher without committing to a full day's hiking. The ascent is moderate - steep in places but manageable for anyone with reasonable fitness. Budget an hour or so if you're taking it leisurely.

It works brilliantly as part of a wider exploration of the Ceredigion coast. You could combine it with a morning in Aberystwyth itself, then head up here for late afternoon light - the golden hour is genuinely special if you time it right. Families with older children will enjoy it; younger kids might find the walk a bit tedious unless they're keen hill-baggers.
