The site appears to be freely accessible, though you'd want to check locally when you're based at one of the nearby caravan parks - Mickleton Mill or Leekworth are both close by. Autumn's probably the best time, when the light's lovely and you won't be battling midges or school holidays crowds. It's the kind of place that works best when you're not making a special trip, but stumbling across it on a longer walk.
