The Old Armoury Campsite

Our fifth stay with Anthony at The Old Armoury. What an immaculate site. The loo and shower block is still to be finished (will be to a very high standard) but everything else s/a drinking water, waste disposal etc all in place. Such a warm welcome from both Anthony and his gorgeous dog. A great circular dog walk with fab views to the pub in Bowes village is highly recommended. 10 mins to Barney...

This is a real gem , 5c site plenty of space lovely views , Gate so secure toilet shower on the way . Peaceful and absolutely immaculate small site in stunning surroundings. Plenty of space and very dog friendly. Really nice little campsite. Anthony is really welcoming and his love for his campsite is obvious . The grass is the best I've ever seen..lol ...looks like a carpet!! Walking distance to a pub , 10 mins in car to Barnard castle and lovely walks from site. Would definitely recommend and we will return. Keep up the hard work

Superb little site 10 minutes drive from Barnard Castle. Only 5 pitches of the highest quality we’ve ever been too! Anthony goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. Don’t drive on the grass though as it’s his pride and joy and beautifully cut. 😂😂 Seriously, though, what a lovely setting and well worth the stay. We stayed three nights and would highly recommend! On the return list!!
