Staying at one of the nearby holiday parks makes perfect sense. You're 40 minutes from central London by train, yet sleeping under stars instead of streetlights. Lee Valley sites put you right in the green corridor, while spots like Commons Wood give you that countryside feel without the trek. It's the best of both worlds - London's treasures by day, proper peace and quiet come evening.
