Excellent site, could not fault it. Staff are there to help and chat but not in your face to make you feel they are checking up on you. Now the not so good bit. The road to the camp site is a not more than a track. It's bumpy and seems to go on forever. Make sure everything is secure in the van being attempting the road. My partner and I stayed in a tent for two nights, we had a lovely time. The facilities are great, they have toilets, showers (with a hair dryer), an area to wash up and a laundry room. The showers are nice and warm and there are seperate cubicles for privacy/dignity. Overall it's a good tidy site and we enjoyed our stay. There are decent clean (if somewhat dated) facilities, plenty of walking paths nearby and generous sized pitches. We were welcomed upon arrival by a very friendly and helpful member of staff. Only three stars however because: 1. Lovely camping site great staff (Richard) made us feel very welcome on arrival. We booked a hardstanding which we have done the last few years but I must admit the stones on this site very sharp and I don't feel very suitable for tents having said that it was a lovely pitch (22) looking over the site and near to water and service block. We love this site and find ourselves back here frequently as a family with 3 children. The site has a great friendly atmosphere and is very family friendly. There is a small well maintained park for the children surrounded by pitches so with plenty of adults around all the children seem to play beautifully without having to constantly supervise your children.
