If you're staying at Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park or one of the other spots nearby and fancy a kickabout or watching a local match, it's there. But let's be honest: you're not travelling to South Wales specifically to watch football at a school field.

That said, if you've got kids who want to burn off energy between seaside visits to Oxwich or Llanrhidian, and the weather's cooperating, it's a useful spot to know about. Ring ahead to check fixture times and whether casual play is welcome - these things vary. The field itself is functional rather than fancy, which is fine for what it is.

The real reason to be in this corner of Carmarthenshire is the coast. Three Cliffs Bay is genuinely worth the walk, and Swansea Marina offers a different kind of day out if you're based at one of the caravan parks. Use Year 7 Field as a practical break between bigger attractions, not as a destination itself.
