Guzzle Hole

What looks like just another limestone cliff face on the Gower Peninsula suddenly opens up into one of Wales' lesser-known cave systems. Guzzle Hole sits quietly in the countryside near Swansea, and unless you know where to look, you'll walk right past it.

The cave isn't particularly deep - experienced cavers will find it more of a quick scramble than a proper expedition. But for families staying at nearby sites like Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park or Oxwich Camping Park, it's a proper little adventure that doesn't require any special kit. Just decent shoes with grip and a torch.

You'll need to duck through the entrance, but once inside the main chamber opens up enough for adults to stand comfortably. Kids absolutely love the echo effects, though parents should keep a firm grip on smaller ones - the floor can be uneven and slippery after rain.

Getting there requires a bit of local knowledge since there's no official signage or visitor facilities. Ask at your holiday park for directions, as most locals know the spot. The cave works well as part of a Gower coastal walk, especially if you're already exploring the area around Oxwich or Three Cliffs Bay. Allow about 30 minutes inside unless you're with very curious children who want to examine every rock formation.
