Murton Green sits right in the heart of this small community, roughly halfway between Swansea and the famous Three Cliffs Bay. The grass gets proper use - locals turn out for weekend cricket games that can stretch well into the evening during summer months.

Families will find it a decent spot for a kickabout, though there's not much else to occupy restless children for long. The real appeal lies in its role as a starting point for coastal walks. Several footpaths branch off from here towards the spectacular Gower coastline, making it handy for those staying at nearby Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park or Nicholaston Farm.

Parking can be tight when there's cricket on, but otherwise you'll find space easily enough. The green works best as part of a broader Gower exploration rather than a destination in itself. Pop by if you're heading to the beaches anyway, but don't make a special trip unless you're particularly keen on village cricket or need somewhere for the dog to stretch its legs before tackling the coastal paths.
