The Old Church

The Old Church sits quietly on the outskirts of Pwllheli, a solid stone structure that's been watching over this corner of Gwynedd for centuries. It's the kind of place that rewards a proper wander round - you'll find yourself studying the weathered masonry, reading the old tombstones, and getting a genuine sense of how people lived and died in rural North Wales.

Inside, there's genuine atmosphere. Staying at one of the nearby caravan parks - Away From It All's only 1.6 miles away, or Llwyn Ffynnon a bit further - you could easily slot this into a morning before heading to the beach at Pwllheli or exploring further inland. It's the kind of stop that takes an hour, maybe ninety minutes if you're thorough, and doesn't demand much planning. Just turn up and have a look round. No faffing about with booking.
