Shaw Field Head

Shaw Field Head sits just outside Skipton, a proper fell walk rather than a casual stroll. You're looking at moorland views that stretch across the Yorkshire landscape - nothing dramatic, but the kind of rolling open country that makes you understand why people camp around here instead of heading to the Lakes.

It's the sort of place you'd slot in between lazy camp days rather than plan your entire trip around. Skipton itself has everything you'll need for supplies or a decent pub lunch afterwards.

Allow half a day, bring water, wear proper walking boots on the boggy bits.
