A school library in Carmarthenshire sounds like an odd addition to a caravan holiday itinerary, and frankly, it probably isn't worth planning around. The real draw in this part of South Wales is the coast. Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park sits right near one of the area's best beaches, and the Gower Peninsula offers walkers, families, and beach enthusiasts far more engaging ways to spend an afternoon. If you're serious about cultural pursuits, Swansea's museums and galleries beat a school library by a country mile.

Skip this one unless circumstances force your hand. Spend your time instead exploring the Gower's cliffs and coves, or poking around Swansea's waterfront.
