Porth Tyddyn-uchaf

The beach at Porth Tyddyn-uchaf sits on Anglesey's northwest coast, a short drive from Holyhead. It's a proper working beach - small, rocky in patches, with golden sand that shifts depending on the tide and season. The sort of place where you'll see a handful of locals rather than coach parties.

Pengraig Campsite and Llain Ffynnon Campsite are both within walking distance if you're staying locally, and Sandy Beach Caravan Park sits just 2.6 miles south if you want more facilities. The beach is accessible year-round, though winter storms can alter the sand quite dramatically. Worth a visit if you're exploring Anglesey's quieter corners, but don't expect a beach day on its own - treat it as part of the fabric of a broader coastal walk.
