The meadow itself is the main draw - seasonal depending on what's flowering, but generally decent for spotting butterflies and the occasional bird of prey hunting over the grassland. Both parks sit within the Chiltern Hills, so you're already in countryside; Popes Meadow just gives you a more formal nature experience without the zoo crowds.
