Philipson's Wood

The nearest towns of Windermere and Kendal are close enough that you can base yourself at Windermere Camping and Caravanning Club Site - just 3.6 miles away - and have it as a morning wander before heading to bigger attractions. Kendal's alternative site sits 6 miles out if you prefer that direction. Bring decent boots; it gets boggy after rain.
