Pendle Sculpture Trail (Barley)

The walk up Pendle Hill itself is famous enough, but the Sculpture Trail around Barley adds a proper spark to what could otherwise be a straightforward fell hike. You're moving through moorland dotted with contemporary artworks - nothing too precious or gallery-like, just sculptures that sit naturally in the landscape. It's the kind of thing that makes you stop and actually look at where you are, rather than just grinding uphill with your eyes on your boots.

Barley sits at the base of Pendle Hill, a village more hamlet than town, and the trail loops through fields and woodland where locals and artists have installed pieces over the years.
