Standing outside this Victorian terraced house on Holmfirth's steep streets, you're looking at proper television history. This was Nora Batty's home in Last of the Summer Wine, complete with the famous front steps where she'd sit and survey the neighbourhood with withering disapproval. The house itself is unremarkable - typical Yorkshire stone terrace - but for fans of the long-running BBC comedy, it's television gold.

You can't go inside, so it's really just a quick photo stop and a moment to soak up the nostalgia. Takes about ten minutes unless you're properly obsessed with the show. The street's quite steep, mind you, so wear decent shoes if you're walking up from the town centre.

This works brilliantly as part of a Last of the Summer Wine pilgrimage around Holmfirth, which the production used as its fictional village setting for over three decades. The town's got several other filming locations within walking distance, plus decent cafes for a proper Yorkshire brew afterwards. Fans of the show will love it, but younger visitors might wonder what all the fuss is about - this is definitely one for the parents and grandparents.

If you're staying at nearby Secret Valley Escapes or Holme Valley Camping & Caravan Park, it's an easy detour into town. Just don't expect anything beyond a nostalgic moment and a photo opportunity.
