Milton of Tassiesholm is where archaeologists have uncovered Samian ware - the fancy red tableware that Roman officers ate from - suggesting this spot was far more important than the rolling farmland around it suggests today.

It's essentially an open field with interpretation markers, which sounds dull but actually works.
