Millisle Community Garden

The Community Garden in Millisle is a modest but genuine local project - the sort of place that doesn't get splashed across travel guides but speaks volumes about what happens when neighbours actually care. The park itself is only a ten-minute stroll away. Combine it with a walk along the shoreline or a proper visit to somewhere more structured nearby, and you've got a reasonable half-day out.

Time-wise, allow thirty minutes to an hour, maybe longer if you actually want to talk to the gardeners. It's free, which helps. Go when you've got no agenda and happen to be in the area.
