There's a proper links course sitting right on the edge of Romney Marsh, and Littlestone Golf Club is the kind of place that rewards a decent handicap but doesn't turn away curious visitors entirely. The course runs along the coast near New Romney, where the flat terrain and sea breezes mean the ball travels further than you'd expect - useful knowledge if you're a golfer, less so if you're just wandering past.

You'll need to be a member or guest of a member to play here, which keeps things relatively quiet and well-maintained. The nine-hole layout takes a couple of hours, and the views across the marshland are genuinely worth the walk, even in grey weather. Non-golfers won't find much to do on the course itself, mind you - this isn't a spectator sport destination.

If you're staying at one of the nearby caravan parks - Marlie Holiday Park is barely half a mile away, or there's Parkdean Resorts Romney Sands Holiday Park a touch further south - the club is worth a day trip if golf's your thing. The Romney Marsh area has other attractions worth combining it with, though honestly most people here are chasing the golf rather than treating it as a park holiday bonus.
