Cabu by the Sea

We stayed at Cabu By The Sea in October 2025 and had a great time. It’s set in a fantastic location directly on the beach, with cozy, well designed and decorated cabins, with helpful staff and a great little shop and cooking area. Easy walk along the beach to Dymchurch and a short drive from Dungeness. Highly recommended.

I think confused is the best way to describe Cabu. Let me start by saying our kids loved it here and had an amazing time. And we didn't hate it, but you can have more luxurious, memory making experiences in more beautiful, private settings for less money. The marketing touts this as a secluded luxurious cabin retreat and it falls short in a number of ways. The website images portray single cabins...

A well executed cabin hotel. Cabins were a good size, well kitted out and stylish. Quality is good all round and the shop has a bunch of good products. Really relaxed and chill out. You can see the sea, as it's behind the sea wall defence. But a very short walk through the end of the property and you are there. When the tide goes out there is miles of sand left and right.

I spent last week at Cabu by The Sea with my family (6 year old and 3 week old) and had an incredible time. We previously visited four years ago when our eldest was two and they have only improved it in the time since.
