You won't need more than twenty minutes inside, but it's worth the stop if you're passing through on the way to or from Llangammarch Wells.

This isn't a showpiece church - no ornate monuments or jaw-dropping architecture. What you get instead is authenticity: the real working heart of a rural Welsh community. History types will appreciate it; families with restless kids less so, unless they're genuinely interested in old buildings. The walk from the village centre is short enough, and the churchyard itself is the sort of place you can sit for a bit if the weather's decent.

The real draw of staying in Powys is the walking and the landscape anyway - the church is a lovely bonus rather than the main event. Combine it with a ramble through the Irfon Valley or a visit to the village itself if you fancy a proper cup of tea. Worth the detour if you're already in the neighbourhood, but don't plan your holiday around it.
