History enthusiasts will get the most from it, particularly anyone keen on 19th-century rural life and social conditions. Kids find it moderately interesting for an hour or so - the novelty of old buildings wears off unless they're already absorbed in that era. Families basing themselves at one of the nearby caravan parks like Kilbroney or Sandilands would find it a solid half-day outing when the weather's decent. Nothing you'd queue for, but worth the detour if you're already in Newry.

Timing-wise, allow a couple of hours to wander properly without rushing. Summer visits are obviously more pleasant given it's largely outdoors.
