It's an hour or so to the summit if you've got reasonable legs, and the moorland terrain means bog in wet weather - come prepared. This isn't a casual stroll; it's proper fell-walking in miniature, which makes it ideal for experienced walkers wanting something achievable without a full day's commitment. Kids will find the terrain challenging rather than fun, unless they're already keen hikers.

The appeal here is genuine landscape rather than visitor infrastructure. There's no café, no visitor centre, no facilities beyond what Greenfield itself offers. You come for the walking and the views, not for amenities. Free to roam, obviously.
