Hareden Fell

The walk up Hareden Fell takes about forty minutes from the car park, climbing steady through moorland that opens up properly once you're past the first rise. You get a real sense of Lancashire's gritstone country up here - nothing flashy, but proper wild when the weather turns.

From the top you're looking across moorland and down towards Preston, which sounds more dramatic than it actually is. On a clear day it's a decent view, though honestly the fell itself is more about the walk than any jaw-dropping summit moment.
