Ettington Grove

Ettington Grove feels refreshingly wild compared to the manicured gardens you'll find at nearby Warwick Castle, with muddy paths that wind between centuries-old trees and clearings where wildflowers bloom in spring.

Families with energetic children will find plenty to explore here - fallen logs make natural climbing frames and there's space for proper games of hide and seek. Dog walkers absolutely love the place, though keep leads handy as you might encounter other wildlife. The paths can get properly boggy after rain, so decent walking boots are essential if you're planning more than a quick stroll.

Expect to spend an hour or two if you're doing a thorough explore, though you could easily make it a quick twenty-minute leg-stretch if you're staying at one of the nearby caravan parks like Newlands or Twitey's Camping and Glamping Meadows. It's the sort of place that works brilliantly as a morning constitutional before heading into Warwick for the day, or as an afternoon wind-down after castle visits. The lack of facilities means bringing your own refreshments, but that's rather the point - this is proper countryside, not a theme park.
