Danes Dyke

Walking along Danes Dyke on the Flamborough Peninsula feels like stepping back into Iron Age Britain - because you literally are. This ancient defensive earthwork stretches for nearly two miles across the headland, a massive chalk bank built around 2,500 years ago to protect a settlement from invaders.
