The climb up Craig Nant Dulas rewards you with views across the North Wales coast that stretch from Conwy all the way out towards the Irish Sea. It's a proper viewpoint - the kind where you genuinely stop and take it in rather than snap a photo and move on. From Abergele, you're looking at a moderately steep walk to reach the summit, but nothing that requires special kit or experience.

Once you're up there, the perspective shifts. Conwy Castle sits visible in the distance, the coastline curves away in both directions, and on clear days the view opens right up across the water. It's the sort of place walkers come for the leg-work rather than a casual stroll, so expect to find yourself among proper hikers rather than family groups with pushchairs. Give yourself a good couple of hours if you're coming from Abergele - the walk itself takes time, and you'll want to stay up top and actually look around rather than rushing back down.

If you're staying at The Beach Caravan Park or Bron-y-Wendon Holiday Park, both less than two miles away, this works as a decent afternoon excursion. The walk keeps kids occupied properly - it's challenging enough to feel like an adventure rather than a jolly. Weather matters here; come when the visibility is decent or you'll be stood in the clouds wondering what the fuss was about. No facilities at the top itself, so take water and something to eat.
