Go on a quiet weekday morning if you want solitude. Weekends bring families to the seafront, which changes the atmosphere entirely. No admission charge, no opening hours to worry about - the churchyard is accessible year-round. It works brilliantly as a short diversion during a Scarborough break, particularly if you're already staying at a caravan park in the area.
