Penny Hill offers cracking views across the city and surrounding Worcestershire countryside when you fancy a bit of elevation.

Train connections from Birmingham and London are straightforward, making Worcester easily accessible for a long weekend. The M5 runs right past if you're driving down from the Midlands. Several holiday parks dot the surrounding countryside, giving you space to breathe while keeping the city's pubs, restaurants and attractions within easy reach. The rural spots like Ockeridge Rural Retreats or The Coppice Leisure Park put you among proper farmland while staying close enough for daily cathedral visits and riverside walks.
