Getting here is straightforward enough via the A12, though the town itself can feel a bit sleepy midweek. Ipswich is your nearest proper city, about twenty miles south. The coast at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness lies just ten miles east, making this area ideal if you want to split time between Suffolk's heritage coast and its farming heartland.

Staying at one of the nearby holiday parks makes perfect sense. You're close enough to nip into town for supplies or a proper pub lunch, but far enough out to enjoy the peace of the countryside. Several campsites and glamping options scatter the surrounding farmland, offering that proper rural feel without being completely isolated.
