The wild retreat at Redricks Lake

Some of the reviews on here are quite unbelievable. We go camping a lot, and can say that this is a really fab place to camp. Yes it is more noisy than your usual campsite with music playing most of the day (and they ran a mini festival on their stage the weekend we were there) but this is set in beautiful surroundings with lakes, kayaking, yoga activities, on site cafe making home cooked food. I loved it, the location was amazing, there was a lake nearby and it was beautiful. Also, going to Aqua Splash (you have to pay separately) was super fun! Would definitely go again if needed. One problem is that my dog always has to be on a lead, and my dog gets upset.

Our stay at the accommodation was a major disappointment, as it did not look at all like the pictures. The grids ot the bed were broken, and the fold-out Z beds were very dirty and damp. The tents were also missing chest of drawers, which made organizing our belongings difficult. Additionally, it was quite disgusting that the swan droppings were not cleaned up from the sandy shore in the mornings....

Great place if you live local, lakes are amazing 👏 😀 good for the kids to play in for swimming or paddle boarding. Safe for them to walk about. Tents are great for sleeping in, proper double beds, fold out foam ones single and double. The boys said they were very comfortable. Adults slept on the real bed which also found comfortable. Only one problem, myself and my sister found we could not sleep...
