Second Chance Touring & Residential Park

Lovely, quiet campsite. It is basic but it has everything you need. We toom our caravan there and had a lovely time. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here with my son for the air tattoo event at RAF fairford, very peaceful and clean not to over crowded everyone was very friendly really enjoyed our stay. Only thing I would advise is if you need an electric point you need to make this clear when booking as they are limited to certain pitches. We were fine as our camper van battery kept us going.

The website gives a much nicer picture of the campsite than reality. There is hardly any rest. Very close by is an RAF airfield where planes come and go with a roaring take-off, or at 5am an aircraft engine is started and idles for two hours. The residents are workers who leave for work at 6 a.m. or earlier, often with motorcycles or diesel vans, who drive away with a lot of noise on the gravel ...

Site is nice and benefits from direct access to the river from the pitches. Host was polite and helpful. Toilets kept very clean but the non-lockable and transparent shower doors will be an issue if you're bringing a young boy with you (and a bit weird even for an adult). Just returned from a week at Second Chance. The site is in a lovely location and was extremely peaceful. There is a very nice pub within walking distance. However the ladies toilet block was not cleaned in the whole week that we were there. It is dated but that would not be a problem if it as clean. Two out of the three toilets didn't have a door that locked properly. The showers were hot and goo...
