Philpin Farm Campsite

We stayed here as a family of four (2 kids under 8). Upon arrival we spoke to the manager who directed us to our pitch and advised us how many others were due to arrive (pre-booked) so we knew how busy it could get, however despite an influx of arrivals there was still a lot of space on the field for the children to play and mingle with children from other tents in this central area. We had a great stay at Philpin Farm. Staff were charming and helpful. The setup is simple but all the basics are done well: Clean toilets and showers; large, sheltered communal area with a shop (daytime only), vending machines, WiFi (important as there is no phone signal) and a selection of mapped walks in the area; proximity to local landmarks; and ample parking. Lovely campsite, clean toilets/showers even provide toilet rolls and washing up liquid. Great food from snack bar, plus drinks and snacks during week from vending machines which are always well stocked. You can also buy air beds/blankets/hats/gloves/pegs etc etc. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Around 15 of us camped last weekend to take on the 3 Peaks challenge. Great no frills campsite. Owners very lovely and friendly. Brilliant spot if taking on the challenge yourself. Not enough toilets/showers for amount of people but didnt affect us too much. Being on the bottom field after a 26 mile hike was a killer the next day but the use of the wheelbarrow helped. Will stay again.

What a wonderful campsite! Very clean showers/toilet. Lovely and warm too. The barn was cozy and I loved that I could get a hot chocolate from the machine when I woke up at 5am freezing cold! Love the lockers where we could charge our phones. The information on the walls about local walks and sights was brilliant. Thank you 😊
