Gunthorpe Camping

Great location, plenty of pubs and walks by the river, good bathroom space but water pressure was a bit temperamental, run out of toilet paper few times and cleaning could be more often too. The only thing to mention is that we booked 2 pitches next to each other, 10×10m as per website, however were put in the corner which did seem to be a lot smaller than advertised! Because it wasn't fully booke...

Loved it!!! Showers and loos are spotless... Great location.. walking distance to the local village pubs. Lovely grass pitch with electric hookup... Very peaceful site with views of the countryside and the cows next door are very friendly.. There are beautiful black ducks and guinea fowl to say hi to.. And free shrubs and trees on offer... we took one for the garden... Great value for money and wi...

Gunthorpe Camping is an absolute hidden gem, and I can't recommend it enough! If you're looking for a friendly and relaxing getaway, this is the spot. One of the things that really stood out to me was how incredibly spacious the pitches are. Had a night at Gunthorpe camping this weekend. Lovely site just across a quiet road from the river Trent. Lovely camping field and nice modern toilet facilities. Lots of space on the pitches which are around the edge of the field. We were lucky to get a pitch right at the back with the cows greeting us :-) Walk out of the site and there is a beautiful restaurant and a (very posh) pub directly outs...

Nice location and more of a discreet secure place than we have seen in the past. They have the usual amenities, water toilets although work was going on at the time. Apart from that very basic so bring your own entertainment food etc. There is a pub within breathing distance and if I remember correctly a takeaway close by so dinner is sorted.
