The Westgate Leisure Centre sits on the edge of Chichester, a proper sports facility rather than a tourist attraction in the traditional sense. You'll find a swimming pool, gym, sports halls and courts - the kind of place locals actually use rather than somewhere you'd plan a day around. That said, if you're staying at one of the nearby holiday parks like Haven Church Farm or Stubcroft Farm, it's worth knowing it exists. Families with younger kids might appreciate the pool, especially on rainy days when the Sussex weather turns, though the facilities are functional rather than fancy. The centre caters mainly to residents and regular members, so unless you're after a proper swim or gym session, it won't occupy much of your time. Opening hours and admission prices aren't immediately obvious - you'd need to ring ahead or check online before heading over. For a park holiday in the area, it's a backup option more than a destination. Chichester itself has plenty to keep you occupied: the cathedral, the Festival Theatre, and the surrounding countryside offers decent walking. If you're based at Butlins Bognor Regis just down the coast, you'll have plenty of entertainment already included. The leisure centre works better as a rainy-day fallback than something to plan around.
