Trevalgan Hill

Trevalgan Hill is a modest peak that gives you proper views across the north Cornish coast without requiring mountaineering credentials. The walk itself is straightforward - nothing that'll leave your legs screaming - and from the top you get sight lines down towards St. Ives and out across Mounts Bay on a clear day. It's the sort of spot locals use rather than tourists, which means it won't be rammed with selfie sticks.

Walkers will get the most from this one. It's not a scramble, more a steady climb with decent paths, so families with kids of hiking age will manage fine. Expect to spend an hour from car to summit and back, though you could easily stretch that with a packed lunch if you're after a proper breather. The views justify the effort, though don't expect anything alpine or particularly dramatic - this is gentle Cornish countryside, not a dramatic peak.
