Just woodland, air that smells right, and enough space to stretch your legs without bumping into crowds. You can knock out an hour here easily, or linger if you're the sort who notices birds and light patterns on bark. Families with younger kids might find an hour enough before restlessness sets in, but if your children like climbing fallen trees and looking for insects, they could happily occupy themselves longer.

It's free to access and open to the public, though there's no formal infrastructure - bring water, mind the tree roots, and go when the ground isn't waterlogged. Winter can be muddy here. Spring and early summer are genuinely lovely, with decent light and fewer insects to irritate.
