The Catholic Church of St Anthony and St George sits quietly on the estate, a Victorian structure that catches you off guard in its rural setting.

It's a small church, unpretentious, which is rather the point. You're not dealing with Gothic drama here - instead there's a clean, orderly interior that reflects 19th-century Catholic sensibilities. The building itself merits a look if you're interested in ecclesiastical architecture or have a genuine curiosity about how religious communities lived in rural Sussex. It's not going to keep you occupied for hours, but twenty minutes or so and you'll have taken in what there is to see.

Families won't find this particularly engaging unless the children are genuinely interested in churches. Walkers, however, might well incorporate it into a longer ramble through the area - the surrounding parkland and countryside offer better value for time spent. If you're based at Woodfire at Westerlands or Graffham Camping just down the road, it's worth a quick detour if you're passing. Wakestone and Wild Glamping is far enough away that you'd need to specifically plan a trip.

The location is the real draw here - it's the kind of spot that reminds you Sussex still has genuinely quiet corners. Worth a look if you're already in the area, but not worth driving across the county for.
