Ter Hill

Ter Hill stands just outside Tavistock on the western edge of Dartmoor, a modest summit that punches above its weight when the light's right. Access is free and there's no official infrastructure, which means no facilities at the top. Bring water. The weather turns quickly on Dartmoor, so check conditions before you go. Time it for late afternoon in summer and you'll catch the light properly.
