St John's Church

The church sits on a quiet corner in Cupar, its sandstone walls the colour of old honey in the right light. St John's Church has been standing here since medieval times, though what you see today is largely Victorian restoration - which is fine, because the Victorians knew how to do stonework properly.

Inside, it's all high ceilings and stained glass, the sort of place where your footsteps echo and you automatically lower your voice. There's genuine history layered into the fabric: medieval tombs, ornate furnishings, the kind of detail that rewards a slow wander rather than a quick snap for Instagram.
