Springhouse Reservoir

The reservoir sits quietly on the outskirts of Bishop Auckland, a proper working water supply that most people drive past without a second glance. If you're staying at Westgate Caravan & Camping Site nearby, it's worth combining with a longer walk - the reservoir's good for breaking up a day but it's not a destination in itself.
